A binomial is a sum or difference of two terms. For example, 2x+4 or 1.5y-1 is a binomial. The larger the power is, the harder it gets to expand the binomial expressions. For example, (x+y)^10 is much harder to expand than (a+b)^3. Pascal’s triangle is a triangular arrangement of numbers which shows the coefficients in the expansion of any binomial expression.
